About Calaverelle
Calaverelle makes solid-wood furniture to order — dining tables, beds and occasional pieces in solid oak and American black walnut — from a workshop in Gran, Norway. We ship to Norway, across Europe and worldwide, and we price in Norwegian kroner. Alongside the furniture we sell a few ready wooden homeware pieces made from the same timber.
Made to order, in solid wood
Each table and bed is built after you order it, to the size and finish you choose, in kiln-dried solid timber with proper joinery — not veneer over board, and not flat-pack. That is why there is a lead time: the piece does not exist until we make it for you.
How we describe them
Every listing states the timber, the size, the finish options and the lead time. Those are the numbers that decide whether a piece fits your room and when it will arrive, and they are the ones people have to dig for everywhere else. We do not claim approvals or certifications we cannot show you.
How made-to-order works
Most of what we sell is built by hand after you order it, in solid oak or walnut, to the size and finish you choose. Lead times are stated on each listing and start once the details are confirmed. Because a made-to-order piece is built to your specification, it cannot be put back on the shelf — this is why the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to it (see below). Solid wood is a natural material: grain, colour and small seasonal movement vary from piece to piece, and that is the character of the material, not a fault.
How we price
One clean number per product. No struck-through prices, no countdowns, no invented recommended retail price to discount from.
Delivery
Large pieces go on a pallet and arrive kerbside, delivered flat or in sections for assembly. If your access is awkward, tell us before you order.
Buying from us
Ready homeware can be returned within 14 days; made-to-order furniture is built to your specification and cannot be cancelled once begun, so please check your choices carefully. If anything arrives faulty, the five-year complaint period under Norwegian law applies.
